金秋时节，英国皇家工程院2021年院士增补名单公布，上海交通大学全英校友会副会长、 1982届校友、英国伦敦国王学院机构学与机器人学讲席教授戴建生教授当选。

英国皇家工程院成立于1976年，由工程科技界最优秀专家组成，致力于将各领域最杰出的工程科技专家组织起来促进科学、艺术和工程科技的繁荣，每年接纳最多不超过60位院士，入选皇家工程院被视作是英国工程科技专家的最高荣誉。这是继2020年获得了机械设计领域知名科研大奖: ASME 机械设计终身成就奖后，戴教授取得的又一项殊荣！
